Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin said that 8 countries intend to supply Leopard tanks to Ukraine. This was announced on February 14 by a military official at a meeting of the contact group.
Over the past few months, many European countries have expressed their readiness to provide Kyiv with German-made military equipment. Now it became known that the corresponding decision was finally made in Germany, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Norway, the Netherlands, Denmark, Canada.
“Our goal is not only to transfer equipment, but also to provide military capabilities for the long term. Today we will continue to talk about integrating and synchronizing our support so that Ukraine has the means it needs to fight,” said Lloyd Austin.
According to the head of the Pentagon, only Ukraine will organize the delivery of military equipment to the front line on its own.
