German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius does not expect the war in Ukraine to end soon . And he does not see the prospects for a quick victory.
He said this upon arrival at the meeting of the heads of military departments of NATO countries. “I don’t think the end of the war is expected in the short term. I don’t see a quick victory either,” Pistorius said.
He also recalled that “any military clash is always a threat of escalation,” and pointed out in this context the importance of continuing support for Ukraine.
At the same time, he warned against constantly “raising the stakes” on the issue of weapons and agreed with Scholz that “every step must be weighed.”

Recall, according to the statement of the head of the US Department of Defense Lloyd Austin, Germany will supply tanks and air defense systems to Ukraine . At the same time, the head of the German Defense Ministry, Pistorius, announced the terms for sending the first battalion of Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine . According to him, German Leopard 2A6 tanks will be in Ukraine at the end of March.
